Program
The International Screenwriters Workshop & Master Class is a short-term, seven-day, residential training programme with the aim of helping filmmakers to develop the best possible script.
Our comprehensive program includes seven-day Screenwriter Workshops for writers and producers, as well as Master Classes for the participants and local film community throughout the year.
The Mission of eQuinoxe Europe is to support European filmmakers in the crucial script development phase to deliver stronger scripts in order to advance the projects more quickly to financing and production. Through its focus on rigorous script development, eQuinoxe Europe is committed to:
The Goals of eQuinoxe Europe e.V. are
• to create economic effects for the European film industry by developing the quality and international competitiveness of European screenplays,
• to enable talented European screenwriters to learn from the best in the business,
• to enhance the inherent cultural identity of strong screenplays and compelling stories.
Results
Production rate of projects from 2001 to 2017 is 41%.
________________
The independent, non-profit association eQuinoxe Europe e.V. was founded in Berlin in February 2001 to support European filmmakers with script development to enable them to be more internationally competitive.
The founding members, involved in different sectors of the film industry, are the responsible body of the association. The association's core activities are executed by Ellen Winn Wendl, Claire Dobbin, Susanne Schneider, Susan Schulte, Stefan Rüll and Bela von Raggamby. Since 2001 over 1250 projects have been submitted, 205 writers have attended the workshops with their producers and/or co-writers and 78 films have been produced, released, or are currently completing financing or in production. Many award-winning films among them. (Please refer to Script to Screen listing on the menu.)
eQuinoxe Europe has held Intl. Screenwriter Workshops, Master Classes and Salons - Readings, Screenings and Panel Discussions for the European film industry since 2002.
In January 2013 the name change to eQuinoxe Europe, from the original name éQuinoxe Germany, was executed which more aptly reflects the program's financial partners, participants and locations.
